This weekend, Cindi will be competing in the SPEED World Challenge GT Series at Road America.  If you cannot be there in person, you can follow her progress online by clicking on the appropriate link below.

Other series competing at the  event include the American Le Mans Series, Formula BMW, Star Mazda, Mazda MX-5 Cup, and the GT sister series, SPEED World Challenge Touring Car.

Fri, Aug 8 6:45am - 25 cars actually took to the track in the morning practice session.  Cindi's fast lap time of 2:18.883 put her 18th on the grid of the 4.048-mile road course.

Fri, Aug 8, 4:00pm - 23 cars were on hand for the second practice session.  A handful of cars from the morning session did not appear on track for the afternoon session.  According to race control, Cindi's car had a loose splitter, and does not show any time on the time sheet.  Qualifying will be at 10:10am on Saturday. 

Sat, Aug 9, 9:30am - Here's what the story was on the #2 car yesterday.  On the out lap for second practice there was a big bang in the nose of the car.  Some of the hardware holding up the splitter failed.  The splitter hit the ground and broke, also damaging other pieces inside the nose of the car.  The splitter is very important for adding downforce on the nose of the Viper.  Fred and the crew worked late last night and early this morning getting the car repaired for qualifying this morning.

Sat, Aug 9, 10:35am - At the conclusion of the 20-minute qualifying session, Cindi's fast lap of 2:17.128 was good enough for 10th position on the starting grid.  This will be her second top ten start of the season.  24 cars received qualifying times, while two additional cars did not make the session.  The race will take place Sunday at 12:45pm Pacific.

Sun, Aug 10, 1:00pm - During the ALMS race it was reported on TV that Timing & Scoring was not working at the track.  So far there is no live timing and scoring for the WCGT race but there are Live Lap Notes.

Sun, Aug 10, 1:05pm - On lap 4 it appears that live timing & scoring is up and working. 

Sun, Aug 10, 1:45pm - From what looked to be an exciting 26-car race, Cindi gets her third Top Ten finish of the season, finishing 9th.  Live Lap Notes mentioned that Cindi was in a good battle for 15th at one point, so a combination of attrition, good driving and a good crew got her another positive result.  Watch the race on SPEED on August 20, 9am.  Next race is Mosport on August 23.  We'll get pictures and video from this race posted as soon as they're available.
