Can you say NASCAR country?? Arriving at Lowe's Motor Speedway really was exciting yesterday. You should see how beautiful and big this speedway is!!!! It is amazing.

Anyway, yesterday was practice day and it was filled with too much excitement including myself. We are running on 7/8 of the high banked oval and then squirting into the infield for some road course action. I believe the entire course is 2.3 miles. But that oval is something else!!! Its super fun.

The only goofy thing they have done to keep the speeds down probably for the prototypes is they put up a chicane made out of tires on the back straight. Not to be negative but............. its is poorly designed and too tight!! Almost every session all day long had at least 1 if not 4 black flags to stop and repair the tire wall that everyone is crashing into. Its really very bad.

Anyway as for myself, I screwed up in my first session out and smacked right into the wall. Enough to cause a black flag!! Opps. Car had been damaged so back to the pits for me. I was not happy. However 5 others in my group also hit the wall just in that session.

Other than that, things are good. Going over today to get fitted into a seat for my Porsche test with the Nygmatic team next Tuesday. I am soo excited and nervous but more on that later.

Off to the track for qualifying.

Goal for today: The pole and NO TIRES!!
